Position Title:Project Manager (Construction)

Location: Springfield, MA (Hybrid/Field)

Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 + Performance Bonuses

Our client is a multi-faceted, high-growth General Construction firm based in Springfield, MA. The Role

The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of complex construction projects, with a specific focus on federal and commercial contracts. You will be responsible for the financial health, scheduling, and safety of multiple sites, ensuring that all work meets the rigorous quality and security standards required by government entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning and execution of projects ranging from $1M to $15M+, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Federal Compliance: Manage GSA schedules and ensure all projects adhere to FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and specific agency requirements (DoD, FEMA, etc.).
  • Financial Oversight: Conduct rigorous budget analysis, cost forecasting, and subcontract negotiations to maintain a target profit margin.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for government contracting officers, architects, and engineering partners.
  • Team Development: Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Superintendents, fostering a culture of safety and operational efficiency.
  • Reporting: Utilize project management software (Procore, Sage, or similar) to provide real-time updates on project milestones and RFI/Submittal status.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7–12+ years of experience in Construction Project Management, ideally with a focus on Federal, Institutional, or large-scale Commercial projects.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in scheduling software (MS Project/Primavera P6) and construction management platforms.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour required; CQM (Construction Quality Management for Contractors) or PMP certification is a significant plus.
  • Attributes: Strong negotiator with the ability to navigate complex government paperwork and high-security site requirements.
